How can a Labor Doula help you?
A doula is a trained professional who provides emotional, physical, and informational support during pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum. Your child’s birth experience will never leave you and Breathe Birth Services is here to provide you with an amazing memory that will last a lifetime. Breathe Birth Services is committed to make that memory be the best it can be. Whether you are giving birth in a hospital or in the comfort of your home, Breathe Birth Services will be at your side empowering and supporting you!
What is offered in the Birth package?
Prenatally, Breathe Birth Services will guide you through the decisions that you are faced with and empower you to make the best decision for YOUR family. Whether you know what you want, or need help writing your birth wishes, Breathe Birth Services is there to support you wholeheartedly. She will provide you with evidence based practices on any topic from breastfeeding, pregnancy, childbirth, and beyond.
Each support package offers two prenatal visits where she will assist you in writing your birth wishes, teach pain management techniques, talk through any fears you may have, and even go with you to your providers office. Your doula is available from the time she is hired via text, phone, or email to answer any questions or for emotional support. She will be on-call 24/7 starting at 38 weeks until the birth of your baby.
When labor begins, your doula will come to the place of your choice to provide continuous support. She will help you make the decision to head to the hospital, if that is the plan. Your doula will make sure your voice is heard during childbirth and that the staff follows your wishes. In addition to supporting you, your doula will support your birth partner and guide him/her on how to assist you. Your doula is trained in normal childbirth, skilled with comfort techniques, and will remind you of your options when you need to make a decision. She will never make the decision for you. Breathe Birth Services will never judge you on any decision and will be available to you for up to two hours postpartum.
During the two hour postpartum period, your doula will help with the first feeding and get you settled in with your new baby. Additionally, she will visit you within the week to go over the birth, assist in feeding, or even hold your new addition for you take a shower/nap. Breathe Birth Services also offers additional postpartum hours.

After all the hustle and bustle of family members coming over and visiting, you might think you need an extra pair of hands to help with housework, watch older children, hold your baby for you to shower/nap etc. That is where a Postpartum Doula comes into play.
Brandi will step right in to assist you in nursing your baby, grab you a beverage and a snack, and unload the dryer while nurturing you and your new baby. She will run errands for you and help you figure out what you need in the diaper bag to run your errands without her.
